The Better Way To Plan Meals And Save Money

  • Is there a way to add my own recipes?

I'd love to be able to add my family's favorite recipes (and add them when store's sales make them even more "appetizing"!). Am I just not seeing that area...or will it be added soon?

Hi Heather, thanks for checking. Yes, the delete button still is grayed out. If I click on one of the stars and then hover over the delete icon, it lights up and says "please wait" after I click on it. But, nothing happens. The recipe is still there.

I also still have some recipe titles that don't have the delete icon or star ratings associated with them. It is just blank.

  • Advice on easy quiche crust?

In desperation one time when I was out of frozen puff pastry and didn't feel like making a crust from scratch, I used some leftover jalapeno cornbread. I split the cornbread in two pieces so I had the top crust and the bottom crust of the cornbread. I then put those pieces into a pie plate, crust side facing up so it wouldn't get soggy as quickly, and flattened it down to form a thin crust.

It worked out very well and added good flavor to the quiche. The family has requested it several times since then.
