I can be passive-aggressive :-) (not fun to admit) and like to avoid conflict so the ex-lax would be tempting to me. I read my husband this question and he suggested talking to your son and giving him a little spending money so he and his friends can go by subway or jack n the box after school. Talk to your son honestly about the problem so he can be aware too.

As for the neighbor lady that's hard. I would jokingly ask when you all are invited over to her place. I have a feeling that you have such an open door policy and come across as so nice that none of these people realizes it is a problem. Maybe some gentle hints their way.

I don't have the time to cook 2 meals for dinner - I need to cook food that my 1 1/2 yr old can eat and thats appealing to the rest of us (7 yr. old, husband & me).
