This was awesome! Everyone loved it. I did use already cooked sausage though, so it didn't take more ham a few minutes to broil the outsides and be ready to eat! Then I put the links in with all the onion goodness till it was time to eat. I served it with this mushroom rice recipe http://www.foodonthetable.com/recipes/344616-mushroom-rice both a HIT!!

I really enjoyed this, but I like a little more spice, so I added pepper, also used a little more cinnamon. I did not have pork sausage on hand, so I used ground beef, added a tbs of sugar, salt and pepper, and some onion powder while browning it. The recipe could have used a little minced garlic as well, would have added a nice flavor combination. I put some garlic rice/quinoa mix with it that worked really well. Great base recipe though!

Good, but its basically spaghetti with a can of beans added. And since I typically use sausage in my spaghetti sauce, this wasn't really special for us. Definitely makes a lot. Personally, if I make it again, I'd probably cut the amount of pasta in half so there's a higher sausage to pasta ratio & so I wouldn't have so much for leftovers. ~Jen~
