Can frozen meat be cooked in the crock-pot? I know this was possible with a pressure cooker, but I don't know how it translates to a crock-pot;. Thanks!

I use frozen meats all the time and have never had a problem with that.

I think the pressure cooker is better.

Can someone please tell me if they work--and by that, I mean, will they make food I actually want to eat?!

I got a T-fal by Emeril. It's so great! You can sear the meat in it then lock and load! It will also keep the food warm like a crock pot when it's done cooking! Love it.

Oh, nice! The one I had was a T-fal, too, but it wasn't electric. The pot's still going strong, but my husband managed to demolish the lid, and it's such an old model I can't find a replacement. Time for a new one! ;-)

Jess - we've had one for years. LOVE cooking veges and potatoes in it as the flavor can't be beat. Also, I make a great chicken soup in like 10 minutes. I normally don't cook meals (though I know i can). LOVE IT
