originalShrimp, cornstarch, cayenne pepper, honey, lime juice, egg whites, and shredded coconut. In 20 cookbooks-
My comment is really more of a note to myself since I cannot add notes to this recipe. I would increase the amount of dipping liquid, batter, and coconut. I would add basmati rice and a vegetable. I would also include a dipping sauce like a sweet ginger or another sweet sauce to use on shrimp, rice and veggies once I serve the meal.

I would also use parchment paper. I put lots of spray on my pan but the shrimp stuck anyway.

My husband and I loved it!!!! Super easy to put together and although I made it for two servings, I could of eaten more! Easy clean up! The taste is great!

After reading the previous post I was nervous about trying this dish. Cube steak was on sale though so I gave it a try. Surprisingly, it was very flavorful. The sauce was delicious, I bought the pickled sliced peperoncini and I just used a handful of slices since I couldn't determine how many would make 1 pepper. I served it with steamed broccoli and the sauce was even tasty on them as well. I added this to my recipe box and will definitely be making it again. I think it would be delicious served over brown rice or some orzo pasta...we will see next time!

Anonymous, next time try adding one or two tablespoons of cornstarch to help thicken the sauce. Or you could make a roux. To find out more information about making a roux check out this discussion: (http://www.foodonthetable.com/discussions/471-does-a-roux-always-start-with-butter-and-flour)
