originalChicken thighs, salt, black pepper, barbeque sauce, honey, prepared mustard, worcestershire sauce, and hot pepper sauce. In 221 cookbooks-
This burned some of the chicken in the ccrock pot on the lowest setting after 3 and 1/2 hours
-
I've done these several times. the best end result was in my Dutch oven. In the crock pot it did burn a little one time, I happened to catch it before it really burned. every crock pot is different and cooks different...I added an additional 4tbsp of water to the pot, this took care of the burning and it did not change the flavor at all. remember to keep liquid in your crock pot for recipes like this, add by the tablespoon so you don't risk losing flavor

originalSalmon, black pper, spicy bloody mary mix, and salt.In 137 cookbooks-
Delicious! I removed the skin from my salmon and needed to broil about 5 on BOTH sides as the under side was still raw after initial time suggested in recipe. After broiling each it was awesome. I also sprinkled with a little lemon before serving. Side was roasted veggie medley, just a simple EVOO salt and pepper toss and in the oven for 30 mins at 400. Perfect healthy and yummy meal!!

originalExtra virgin olive oil, onion, salt, sugar, all purpose flour, chicken broth, and pork sausage. In 3 cookbooks-
This was awesome! Everyone loved it. I did use already cooked sausage though, so it didn't take more ham a few minutes to broil the outsides and be ready to eat! Then I put the links in with all the onion goodness till it was time to eat. I served it with this mushroom rice recipe http://www.foodonthetable.com/recipes/344616-mushroom-rice both a HIT!!

what is the drumsticks are frozen?
-
Hi Chevy! While you can cook frozen meat in the crock-pot, it is not recommend. For best results, thaw the meat completely before adding to the crock-pot. This is to ensure the fastest cooking time and is to avoid any texture issues caused by cooking the frozen meat. However, if you do choose to use cook frozen meat in the crock-pot be sure and add at least 1 cup of additional liquid to the stoneware before adding the meat. Also you will need to adjust your cooking times and cook recipes containing frozen meats for an additional 4 to 6 hours on Low, or an additional 2 hours on High.

originalButter, lemon juice, dijon mustard, raspberry vinegar, honey, fresh tarragon, black pepper, and tilapia fillets. In 13 cookbooks-
This was so good. I had one left over fillet and I made a salad that turned out to be amazing and how I will serve this fish next time: mixed greens, chopped pistachios, sugar snap peas, mango and I served it with a vinaigrette of the raspberry vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. I ate it with wheat thins, cause it needed something crunchy and salty. Also, might add green onions? Any other ideas?
-
Hi Darbi! The salad you created sounds delicious! If you wanted to add anything else you could add some fresh berries (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries), red or green onions (as you suggested), avocado or some mandarin oranges. But really that is the great thing about salads, add whatever you prefer!

Hi Angela! Actually, many of our recipes offer side dish recommendations in the comment section of the recipe. These recommendations are from the Food on the Table chefs and employees and are simply ideas (like the ones listed above) or for links to other Food on the Table side dish recipes. Also, many of the Food on the Table users are diligent about sharing what they served as side dishes in the comments and I encourage everyone to do this when they can as it helps everyone out. And please feel free to leave a comment on any recipe you would like side dish recommendations on and I will be happy to help!

user submitted recipePotatoes, kale, leeks, butter, heavy cream, sharp cheddar cheese, fresh chives, and black pepper. In 68 cookbooks-
Hi Anonymous! You are right that the kale will be cooked when boiled for about 5 minutes. I have edited the recipe to be more clear regarding this information. Regarding the leeks, 2 large leeks will yield approximately 2 cups once chopped. If you can't find leeks an equal substitute would be 1 large white onion.
