Ingredients

  • 4 (whole) chicken quarters, (4 thighs and 4 legs)
  • 1/3 (cup) honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 (cup) soy sauce (wheat free tamari for gluten free)
  • 2 (tablespoon) vegetable oil
  • 1-2 (tablespoon) sesame seeds (optional)

Directions

  1. Separate thigh from leg by cutting between the bones. Remove skin from chicken and trim off all fat. Combine sauce, honey, oil and garlic. Place chicken and honey mixture in a resealable plastic bag, close and massage bag to coat the chicken. Refrigerate for 2-8 hours (or overnight).
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line pan with foil. Remove chicken from marinade; discard marinade. Place chicken on foil and bake 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. An instant-read thermometer should register 165 degrees F when inserted into the thickest part of the thigh. Serve.

Tasty, however, think I would do this with boneless chicken breast. (not a fan of bone in chicken) I paired with a chicken rice package(rice a roni) and fresh roasted summer squash and cherry tomatoes in the oven (created own recipe).

@Katie, that sounds delicious! If you use boneless chicken breast, watch the time so they don't dry out!
