Ingredients
- 1 (medium) onion, finely sliced
- 3 (tablespoon) vegetable oil
- 4 (5-6 ounce) cube steaks
- 2 (tablespoon) flour
- 1/2 (cup) sour cream
- 1 (8.0 ounce container) mushrooms sliced
- 1 (pound) cooked egg noodles to serve with
- 1/2 (cup) heavy cream
- Pinch (to taste) salt and black pepper
Directions
- Saute onion and mushrooms in 1 tablespoon oil in skillet for 10 minutes. Remove from skillet. Add 2 tablespoons oil and heat. Place flour in shallow bowl and season with salt and pepper. Coat steaks with flour. Place in skillet, cook over medium heat for 4 minutes on each side. Place steaks on warm plates.
- Drain drippings. Add sauteed onions, mushrooms, heavy cream and sour cream to skillet. Heat to serving temperature. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve with steak over buttered egg noodles.
