Ingredients

  • 4 (tablespoon) honey mustard
  • 8 (1/2 inch slices) whole-wheat bread, thinly sliced
  • 4 (slice) turkey deli meat
  • 1 (cup) arugula
  • 4 (slice) cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
  • 4 (tablespoon) margarine or butter
  • 1 non-stick cooking spray

Directions

  1. Spread 1 tablespoon of the honey mustard on 4 slices of bread. Top those slices with turkey, arugula, then cheese. Press the remaining slices of bread on top of the cheese.
  2. Coat a large skillet with cooking spray and warm over medium heat. Add half the margarine. When the margarine is melted transfer the sandwiches to a skillet and cook for 2-4 minutes on one side until golden. Spread the top of the sandwiches with the remaining margarine and flip. Cook and additional 2-4 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the filling is hot. Transfer the sandwiches to a cutting board and cut in half or into quarters. Serve immediately.

  • YUMMY! We added too many slices of turkey (the package said 6 slices was a serving) so it was more like a glorified turkey sandwich then a grilled cheese, but I also added avocado slices to mine and it just made the sandwich. It was a perfect addition to the arugula and honey mustard. That was a great first recipe to start with from this app. LOVED IT!!
