Ingredients

  • 2 (pound) pork tenderloin
  • 1 (12.0 ounce bottle) root beer
  • 1 (16.0 ounce jar) Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ

Directions

  1. Place the pork tenderloin in a slow cooker; pour the root beer over the meat. Cover and cook on low until well cooked and the pork shreds easily, 6 to 7 hours. Note: the actual length of time may vary according to individual slow cooker. Drain well. Stir in barbecue sauce. Serve over hamburger buns

    This was super easy and delicious! Instead of using rootbeer, I used a Coke because it's what I could find. Got it from the soda machine outside the store. :) Also, I made sure my BBQ sauce was at room temp. We toasted our buns in the toaster on a low setting. Again, SUPER EASY!

    I love coleslaw with pulled pork, Jimmy's makes an awesome cole slaw dressing to mix with (2 bags) of premade slaw mix, and I add crumbled bacon.

    I make my pulled pork in the slow cooker also but instead of using Root Beer I use low sodium chicken broth (only about a half a cup). Less sugar that way & nobody noticed the difference in the taste. Used Corcky's BBQ Sauce from Memphis. Really great

    loved this recipe. I used a can of Pepsi. I will be cooking it again real soon. I also made cole slaw. It was a big hit at our party.
