Thanks to the keen eyes of one of our users, we fixed the instructions - it's now "Cook bacon until limp".

I also added mushrooms and onions, both finely chopped and sautee'd to the meat mixture before forming the patties. Use a broiling pan, otherwise the bacon grease will smoke you out of your kitchen.

@Katie~ Hi this is Chef Heather from Food on the Table. Great suggestion on adding mushrooms and onions to the burger patties! I am sure these tasted even tastier with your additions.

Made them with beef since I didn't have any turkey. Big hit with kids that say they don't like hamburgers. Got an idea from a Costco sampler to crunch up Kettle Chips BBQ flavor in with the ground meat, did that instead of worcestershire & garlic salt. I didn't use very much, about as much as you would find at the bottom of the bag. Highly recommend this! Oh and it was on the grill since it's summer.

@Serene- Thanks for sharing your feedback and suggestions! Using crushed up flavored potato chips or even crackers are a great substitute for the bread crumbs, used as a binding agent, in recipes with ground meat.
