Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 (pound) ground pork sausage
  • 1 (head) medium head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 (small) onion, chopped
  • (to taste) salt
  • 1/2 (cup) water
  • 1/3 (cup) sour cream
  • 1 (8.0 ounce package) pita bread, halved
  • 1/2 (teaspoon) sugar

Directions

  1. In wok or skillet, brown pork sausage on medium high, drain and set aside.
  2. Combine in wok or skillet: Shredded cabbage, onion, sugar, salt, and water. Steam covered for approximately 20 minutes or until cabbage is tender; stirring occasionally.
  3. Return pork sausage to wok or skillet with cabbage mixture and add sour cream; mix well. Serve stuffed inside warmed pita bread.

    So good! So easy, a keeper for sure.
    Re;sugar...not mentioned in ingredient list but in directions. I added 1/2 a tsp and it was great.
