Ingredients

  • 4 (5-6 ounce) boneless pork loin chops, 3/4 inch thick
  • 1 (small) onion, small dice
  • 2 (tablespoon) vegetable oil, divided
  • 2 (medium) apples, peeled and cored, large dice
  • 1/4 (cup) dry white wine
  • 1/3 (cup) chicken broth
  • (to taste) salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Heat 1 T. of oil in a large heavy bottom skillet over medium high heat. Add the chops to the skillet and brown well on both sides; about 3 minutes per side. Remove chops from skillet and reserve. Add remaining tablespoon of oil. When oil is hot, add the apples and onions and cook, stirring frequently, until slightly carmelized; about 5-6 minutes. Deglaze pan with wine (leaving the apples and onions in the pan). Return chops to deglazed pan with the apples and onions. Season with salt and pepper. Add chicken broth and simmer until chops are cooked through and sauce is thickened; about 8-10 minutes. Serve chops with sauce poured over top.

After deglazing the pan, do you put the apples and onions back in along with the chops, or what? I didn't and they don't seem quite right.

@Chad, you deglaze the pan with the onions and apples in it and then add the chops back into the pan with the onions and apples. I'll edit the directions to make it more clear.
