Ingredients

  • 2 (tablespoon) extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 (pound) sweet Italian sausage
  • 1 1/2 (pound) seedless red grapes, stemmed
  • 1/4 (cup) balsamic vinegar
  • 1 (teaspoon) dried thyme
  • 1/4 (teaspoon) salt and black pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a 12-inch heavy skillet over moderate heat until hot but not smoking, then cook sausages, turning over once, until well browned, about 8 minutes total.
  2. Add grapes, balsamic vinegar, and dried thyme. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sausages are cooked through and grapes are softened, 8 to 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve.
