Ingredients

  • 3 (tablespoon) olive oil, divided
  • 1/2 (pound) chicken tenders
  • 2/3 (cup) barbeque sauce
  • 1 (package) (13.8-ounce size) pizza dough
  • 2 1/2 (cup) shredded Italian cheese blend
  • 1/2 (medium) 1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Slice chicken into bite size pieces. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and saute until golden brown, about 5-8 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. In a small bowl, toss chicken with 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce. Set aside.
  4. Rub 1 tablespoons olive oil on cookie sheet. Unroll pizza dough onto cookie sheet. Press out the dough to desired thickness. Spread remaining barbecue sauce evenly over pizza dough. Sprinkle shredded cheeses, onions, and chicken over top. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese bubbles.

    Yum--ee!! I made this with a pre-made whole wheat crust and it turned out delicious. Had to omit the cilantro because my kids and husband won't eat it :(...still good. Thanks!

    everyone liked it except for my 10 yr old (who's pickier than my 2 yr old). I added mushrooms, diced w the onion and sauted. yum!!!

    Don't cook for 20 minutes at 400 - you end up with a very burned crust. Other than that the recipe is great!
