Baked Herbed Salmon

Ingredients

  • 2 (pound) salmon
  • 1 (leaves) dry sage
  • 1 (tablespoon) dried thyme
  • 1/2 (teaspoon) ground paprika
  • 1/2 (teaspoon) ground cayenne pepper
  • (as needed) Cooking spray

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Apply cooking spray on one side of a sheet of aluminum foil large enough to fold over the entire salmon.
  2. Arrange salmon on the prepared side of the foil. Sprinkle with sage, thyme, paprika, and pepper. Fold foil over salmon to enclose.
  3. Bake salmon 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until easily flaked with a fork.

    It was really good, although I still have not worked out the proper timely in baking salmon to that perfect flaky.

    Anonymous- Here is some useful information to keep in mind when cooking salmon: Salmon can be prepared in a variety of ways, including baked, broiled, poached, sautéed, grilled, and smoked. But since salmon becomes dry and undesirable if overcooked, use caution when cooking. Salmon should be cooked just until the meat changes color and it becomes flaky. Salmon is ready when it feels firm when pressed with a fork or the palm of your hand. For best results allow the salmon to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
