This is so good! I used half cream of celery half cream of chicken, and no mushrooms. Also..tried fat free cheese and didn't like it, so made it with full fat and now this is a family favorite, my 2 year old liked it, but my 3 yo didn't.

What about the mushrooms? What do I do with them?

Hi Anonymous! It looks like you spotted a typo! Thank you for bringing this error to our attention. I have edited this recipe to include the mushrooms in directions, which reads: Cook rice according to package directions. Combine cooked rice, celery soup, grated swiss cheese and mushrooms.

  • There is also an incongruity between the cooking time in the recipe and the cooking time in the little summary badge. Badge says 50 minutes but directions say 20-25 minutes. I am cooking for 25 minutes now, which should be enough to melt the cheese and heat up the mushrooms and soup.

@Anonymous- Thank you for your comment. The "Cooking Time" listed in the recipe summary is the total time it takes to cook the recipe. This includes the time to cook the rice (15-20 minutes), the ground beef (5-6 minutes) and the baking time (20-25 minutes); which totals approximately 40-50 minutes. The recipe summary also lists the "Prep Time" (10 minutes) and the "Ready Time" which is the total time to prepare and cook the recipe which should be approximately 50-60 minutes. I hope this clarifies things for you. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
