Ingredients

  • 4 (cup) chopped, peeled apples
  • 1/2 (cup) honey
  • 3 (tablespoon) cider vinegar
  • 1/2 (teaspoon) ground ginger
  • 3/4 (teaspoon) curry powder
  • 4 (1 inch thick) bone-in pork chops
  • 1 (tablespoon) vegetable oil

Directions

  1. To make the chutney, in a large saucepan combine the apples, honey, vinegar, ginger, and curry. Season with salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes or until apples are tender.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, brown pork chops in oil over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side. Reduce heat; cook, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes or until juices run clear. Serve with chutney.
  3. Note: Raisin may be added to chutney for more texture.

This was great! The flavors meshed really well with the pork chops. Ate it with rice. Will be making again!!

Excellent dish. Used cumin instead of curry. Will make apple chutney again for a side dish.

This was really good! Will be making it again. The chutney was a little sweet but I think if I use granny smith apples next time it will even out that sweetness from the honey. yummy!!

  • I substituted cider vinegar for red wine vinegar at half the amount, and I really liked it that way more than the cider vinegar. I will make this over and over again it's so good and easy
