Easy Baked Tilapia

Ingredients

  • 4 (4.0 ounce fillet) tilapia
  • 2 (teaspoon) butter
  • (to taste) Old Bay seasoning
  • (to taste) garlic salt
  • 1 (whole) lemon, sliced
  • 1 frozen cauliflower with broccoli and red pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees F). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Place the tilapia fillets in the bottom of the baking dish and dot with butter. Season with Old Bay seasoning and garlic salt. Top each one with a slice or two of lemon. Arrange the frozen mixed vegetables around the fish, and season lightly with salt.
  3. Cover the dish and bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until vegetables are tender and fish flakes easily with a fork.

    This was OK. The prep was a snap, less than 3 minutes for me although the overall flavor (despite the seasoning) was a bit bland. Next time I'll up the seasoning and add some black or cayenne pepper. Overall a potential for a pretty healthy meal!

    Tons of flavor! Easy to make, def will try again. I think I'll try it with chicken and shrimp next time.

    It's like a crab boil. It's either on the spice aisle or near the seafood department.

    It's made by McCormick. It's a mix of spices for seafood, poultry, etc. It says it's celery salt, red & black pepper and paprika.
