For the ingredients you'll need a pumpkin, one bottle of apple cider, a bottle of cranberry juice cocktail (if you wanted a more tart drink you could use plain cranberry), three 12-ounce cans of ginger ale and a bottle of rum--we use white to keep the color pretty. Take the top off the pumpkin and scoop out the insides, cleaning as well as you can. Put equal amounts of the liquids into the pumpkin until it is three quarters full. Then pour the liquid into a saucepan and warm it until it is close to boiling. Let it cool slightly and then pour the liquid back in the pumpkin and serve warm. So good, and way more festive than the mulled wine I used to do!
