The Better Way To Plan Meals And Save Money

This may sound a bit dim, but is there a difference between slow cookers and crock pots, or are they the same thing? Can you slow cook in any other kind of pot?

    Shane-
Yes, a slow cooker and a crockpot are the same thing. You can get them pretty cheap from manufacturers like Rival, who are pretty much the 'standard' of the industry. You can also slow cook in a Dutch oven, which is pretty much just a really heavy pot (see Le Creuset if you are looking to drop a pretty penny). Hope this helps. A standard crockpot/slow cooker shouldn't run you much more than $20-40.

Right, I got mine, which is a huge 6-quart one, for about $20 at Big Lots. Never hurts to check the discount places or even supermarkets for them...
