Weekly menu planner

Has anyone else noted that the menu planner loads very slowly. I thought it might be my computer but it does not happen when I'm on other sites.

As a stay at home homeschooling mom it would be nice to have the option to plan out breakfast, lunches, and snacks. Only having a dinner option doesn't really help me much.

Will it also be possible to add side dishes?

DeAnna, we actually do have quite a lot of side dishes. Here's one link to sides: http://www.foodonthetable.com/topics/side-dishes and aside from the featured recipes, you'll also find lots of other useful ideas in the discussion links at the right side of the page. Also, don't forget dishes like quiche http://www.foodonthetable.com/recipes/27070-vegetarian-quiche or other vegetarian options that may not yet have been labeled as 'sides'. Here's a link to a page with buttons you can click for all of those dishes: http://www.foodonthetable.com/topics/collection

Thanks Donna! Don't know why I didn't elaborate. I think what I meant is, is there a way to select a side dish with your main dish. Or maybe I should say it would be nice to be able to label something a main dish and then select side choices and have them show up on a printable (or electronic) calendar that shows each day of the week. I hope that makes sense, I just opened my eyes. lol. I suppose that can be done now in a way, if we were to first choose the main dish and then select sides that populate below it. But, I was kinda hoping for the ability to organize after I choose the main dishes and then have visual aid saying this is what we're having on Monday or Friday, etc..

Okay, I see what you mean, DeAnna! Totally understand, and unfortunately, we don't have that exact function yet, but we are definitely keeping our ears open for what our customers need. One other thing that may help you for now is that our chefs, as they review our various recipes, are often suggesting side dish recipes that might be great matches. We'll keep you posted as things develop, though!

Thanks Donna! Where would I see that if a side was recommended? So I know where to look.

If a chef recommended a particular side dish, it would show as a comment on the recipe (below). And remember, you can always feel free to post a question to our chefs (and other users!) on the dashboard asking for suggestions. Does that help?
