Pizza crust?

What's your favorite kind? Do you use the pizza shells, buy pizza 'kits' at the supermarket, get fresh dough from a local shop or just make your own?

    I've been using the one from the California Pizza Kitchen cookbook for a long time. Comes out really good, though I stole my brother's trick of always putting some fresh basil, rosemary or oregano in before mixing it. I always at least double the recipe--the extra freezes really well.

    They definitely do, Sandy! I have to admit that the ultimate comfort food for us as kids were 'little pizzas' that my mom would make on English muffins with nothing but Campbell's tomato soup and Velveeta. But anyway, I almost always have some homemade dough in the freezer, and I've done pretty much all those other options mentioned. Tortillas, too... as long as they're baked with a little sauce and cheese, my kids will consider them 'pizza'.

    I use homemade dough from the book _Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day_. I make dough every 2-3 days and keep it in the fridge, yaking out what I need for bread or pizza each day.

    We use Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free Pizza Crust - a bit more dense than those with gluten, but excellent!

    artisan dough in my cuisinart bread maker..or boboli is actually pretty good but expensive.

    If you live in the Northeast of America, you can go to an Italian bread bakery and buy the dough then roll it out to make pizza. Otherwise, the canned pizza dough works well (I use Pillsbury thin crust but they make the thick crust too).

    Trader Joe's and Whole Foods has pasta dough. Simple to roll out to needed size.
