At Food on the Table, we always want feedback from users on how to make the FoodontheTable.com meal planning experience better.  Our goal is to make it as simple and stress-free as possible to plan weekday menus so you can put a home cooked meal on the table in an easy and affordable way.

I am excited to highlight four new features that have been requested by  existing users.

Compare stores

Now, you can compare sale items between two stores.  Below I am comparing Randall’s (Safeway) to the HEB.  Looks like Chicken Breasts are less at HEB!

Easy Recipe Browser

Our new recipe browser allows you to refine your choices in a variety of ways.  In addition to viewing your recommended recipes, based on your family’s preferences, you can browse your past recipes, by cooking method, ingredients you want, and ingredients you want to exclude.  For example, I selected I wanted a recipe with pork tenderloin and without flour.

View Nutritional information

We’ve added nutritional information to our most recipes.  In fact, if you save a personal recipe, you can view the nutrition facts for that recipe as well!

Add Personal Items to Your Grocery List

Did you know you can add personal items to your grocery list?  We’ll even put them in the right department and let you know if it’s on sale.  Below is an example where I added cream cheese to my list.  It appeared in the Dairy section of my grocery list, and now I know it was on sale!

What are other features you’d like to see on Food on the Table?  We are all ears.  Our goal is to make this better for you!
