Festive Chicken
Servings: 2
Ingredients
1 1/2 tsp ginger; ground ($0.08)
4 bacon strips ($0.51)
1/2 tsp paprika ($0.16)
1/2 C soy sauce ($0.51)
2 garlic cloves ($0.10)
2 chicken breast halves, with skin and bones ($1.87)
2-3 drops hot pepper sauce ($0.01)
1/4 C sugar ($0.18)
Directions
Wrap two bacon strips around each chicken breast; place in a shallow glass baking dish and set aside. In a small mixing bowl, combine soy sauce and sugar; add remaining ingredients. Pour over chicken, turning to coat evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Drain and reserve marinade. Bake at 325F for 50-60 minutes or until chicken tests done, basting occasionally with marinade.

This sounds AMAZING! I’ve seriously loved every recipe I’ve gotten from Food on the Table, so I’m excited to try more. I think I’ll have to try the pecan-crusted chicken tenders too. We eat a LOT of chicken in our house so it’s great to find new ways to prepare it.
