INGREDIENTS
1 (package) chicken tenders ($3.49)
1 T margarine, melted ($0.02)
¼ C parsley, chopped* ($0.13)
¼ C brown sugar ($0.20)
1 ½ tsp garlic salt ($0.07)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375. Place chicken in a baking dish. Combine sugar, margarine and garlic salt. Bake at 375 for 15 more minutes. Turn chicken and baste with sauce. Bake 15 more minutes. Serve with rice.
*If you go to the store and buy a bunch of parsley, don’t let it go to waste. Chop it in your food processor, put it in an airtight container, and freeze it. You can use it like fresh parsley in any recipe.

I’ve got fresh/frozen chopped parsley and basil in my freezer. It’s great to always have herbs on hand. They sell them in the supermarket freezers here, but they are full of other stuff and so expensive! When I do it myself I know exactly what’s in there. I usually add a little bit of olive oil when I chop it and freeze in mini-ice cube trays.
